Its sister trail, the Eagle View, runs parallel to it for a ways. The Quail Flume Trail is tucked away behind a pretty big subdivision and runs all the way to UBCO through a beautiful forest of Ponderosa Pine. I don’t want that! So before you go any further, just let me repeat that for a sec.

If you think it’s gonna be a challenge, you’ll be disappointed and curse me for recommending this trail to you. And to top it off, I’ve only ever seen a handful of people on the trail! It’s probably because there aren’t any spectacular viewpoints, but don’t write it off just because of that. The Quail Flume Trail follows an old irrigation canal on the outskirts of Glenmore and, while I wouldn’t quite call it a hidden gem, it is a pretty wonderful little hike. It’s a great little trail to just get outside and enjoy nature. I just recently discovered the Quail Flume Trail in north Kelowna and I’m so glad it’s on my radar now! It’s a flat, quiet, and shaded hike - sometimes that’s exactly what I’m looking for. Y’know that feeling? Well, easy hikes will become your best friend on those days. Pets are only permitted in Franconia Notch State Park in the designated dog walks in the Flume & Tramway parking lots.We all have those days where all we want to do is meander through the forest and relax, right? It’s not just me? After a day of work or just lazing around, I usually get pretty antsy and want to go exploring, but I’m not always up for a full-on hike. Pets are prohibited from the Flume Gorge, Echo Lake Beach, Lafayette Campground and on the Tram.Restrooms can still be accessed from the back of the building if needed.Once checked in for your reserved time, you will proceed around the building and begin the Flume Trail.You can enter the main building before or after your walk for access to restrooms, gift shop, food & beverage.Reservation Check-In is outside on the walkway in front of the main building.Refund requests can be made by emailing by 9am on the day of the reservation, however requests may be denied and are not guaranteed.We do not offer refunds due to weather unless we shut down for the day.Guests will be turned away when we are sold out. Walk-ins accepted only when space is available.We cannot guarantee entry if you miss your arrival time. The trail is mostly packed gravel with boardwalk sections and includes moderate uphill walking and stairs within the gorge. This self-guided walk is 2 miles and takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Discovered in 1808, it will leave you spellbound as you stroll the
